ROME—The first coronavirus case in the Vatican was confirmed on Friday, as the epidemic continued to spread in Italy.
The Vatican spokesman, Matteo Bruni, said that a patient of the Vatican City’s on-site health facility had tested positive for the new coronavirus on Thursday and that the Italian authorities had been informed.
