Not happy with responses submitted by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Thought on priority options, regulator Trai has shot off more “technical” queries to each the telcos and questioned them to explain their stand on August four, a resource said.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) desires the two organizations to substantiate their claims that the contentious priority choices, which are less than the regulator’s lens, have neither deteriorated practical experience of other network buyers nor violated any norms.
Yet another resource said that Bharti Airtel has been questioned around two dozen concerns, which include if limits for facts speeds have been set for platinum and non-platinum buyers, and about the concentrations of throughput for platinum buyers.
Trai sent out fresh new set of concerns to each Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Thought on July 31, and the operators have been questioned to react to the concerns on August four.
E-mail sent to Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Thought did not elicit a response.
Trai has said it is appealing that points elevated in the questionnaire be protected in a presentation scheduled on the challenge on the similar day. The regulator has questioned the organizations to back again their claims via facts, the resource said.
A Trai official said that the prior responses received from organizations had been “vague” and gave no authentic assurance to deal with regulator’s issues around irrespective of whether network preference to distinct consumers resulted in deterioration of providers for other non-top quality subscribers.

On July 17, the telecom tribunal had stayed Trai’s purchase on Vodafone Thought, which had questioned the organization to withhold its offering promising priority 4G network on RedX approach.
