The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra Police arrested two adult men including an absconding aide of slain gangster Vikas Dubey in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Saturday, an official stated.
Arvind, alias Guddan Ramvilas Trivedi, an aide of Dubey, was allegedly associated in the killing of 8 policemen throughout a raid on the slain gangster’s house in Kanpur district.
Trivedi, 46, and his driver Sushilkunar alias Sonu Tiwari (30) were arrested from Kolshet spot of Thane metropolis, stated Vikram Deshmane, Superintendent of Police, ATS.
Trivedi, along with Dubey and other folks, had fled soon after the ambush at Bikru village in which 8 policemen including a deputy superintendent of police were killed on July three, he stated.

Officers of the Juhu unit of the ATS listed here got facts that Trivedi had landed in Mumbai seeking a hideout, SP Deshmane stated.
A workforce led by inspector Daya Nayak, a previous ‘encounter specialist’ of Mumbai police, nabbed the duo from Kolshet, he stated.
All through preliminary questioning Trivedi admitted that he and Dubey were associated in the murder of Uttar Pradesh politician Santosh Mishra in 2001 and several other crimes, the SP stated.
The ATS has informed Uttar Pradesh Police’s Distinctive Activity Power (STF) about the arrest, he stated.
Dubey, the mastermind of the Kanpur ambush, was killed in an encounter on Friday soon after he experimented with to flee adhering to a street accident at Barra spot in Kanpur a day soon after his arrest.
