India has made a decision to stop import of two,851 factors used in defence devices production with the expectation of preserving foreign exchange worth around Rs three,000 crore every single 12 months.

The defence ministry on Wednesday notified a beneficial indigenisation listing of sub-units, assemblies, sub-assemblies and factors to realize self-reliance in defence and minimise imports by Defence General public Sector Models.
