ICAR-CIARI organises training programme for Andaman farmers

To enable the farmers of Andaman and Nicobar Islands get large generate from rice cultivation, the Central Island Agricultural Investigate Institute (ICAR-CIARI) organised a schooling cum recognition programme, an official reported.

The programme to cultivate large yielding kinds of rice was organised at Shoal Bay-19, Ferrargunj in South Andaman district on Oct 7, he reported.

Talking at the programme, Principal Scientist and Head (I/C) CIARI, P K Singh, emphasised the enhanced rice-kinds created by ICAR-CIARI for Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
