Hong Kong law enforcement arrested 14 activists on Saturday, section of a response to the semiautonomous city’s pro-democracy protest movement.
The arrests came as Hong Kong stays racked by the coronavirus pandemic, and pro-democracy activists say they won’t immediately acquire to the streets yet again to protest the newest law enforcement action—though they say they’ll most likely use the arrests to rejuvenate general public momentum versus Beijing’s perceived encroachment.
