MEXICO CITY—Guatemala wishes U.S. authorities to give medical guarantees that deported migrants are absolutely free from the coronavirus before letting the resumption of deportee flights from the U.S., Guatemalan officials claimed Saturday.

The impoverished Central American country is eager to consider its nationals but wishes to make positive all deportees are nutritious so as to cease the region, which is locked down by a curfew, from turning into a important concentrate of the Covid-19 pandemic, the officials claimed.
