U.S. prosecutors have charged the Chinese tech giant Huawei with racketeering and conspiracy to steal trade techniques.
The a few new allegations, which increase to previously rates the corporation engaged in financial institution fraud and violated U.S. sanctions versus Iran, had been unsealed Thursday by a U.S. District Court in New York.
Prosecutors cited Huawei’s, “long-working exercise of applying fraud and deception to misappropriate subtle technologies from U.S. counterparts.”
Huawei Chief Money Officer Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, is named as a defendant in the case. Canada is identifying whether or not to look for extradition
