Shocked pulses trade body urges Govt to withdraw stock limits order

Stunned and amazed around the Centre’s choice to impose stock limitations on pulses, the Indian Pulses and Grains Trade Association (IPGA), the apex human body trade human body has urged the Governing administration to withdraw the order quickly.

Reacting to the Government’s transfer, Bimal Kothari, Vice Chairman, IPGA explained, “IPGA has always welcomed and supported government’s efforts to raise the trade and double farmers’ profits together with revision of the import coverage from “restricted” to “free” in circumstance of Tur, Urad and Moong. But this order of imposing stock limitations on pulses has taken the pulses field by finish shock. It is quite a regressive move by the government and will seriously impact not only the wholesalers, merchants and importers but also the farmers and buyers.”
